energy label service website.
Conversion-focused WordPress site for a Dutch energy-label service.
The full story
the problem.
In the Netherlands an energy label is a legal requirement when you sell or rent a home. Labelcert arranges them through certified advisors, but homeowners meet the process at the worst possible moment — mid-move, unsure what a label even is, and wary of anything that looks like more bureaucracy. The site had to make a legal obligation feel small.
what I built.
A WordPress site on a custom theme, built around a single action. The application form asks for a postcode and house number and returns price and availability straight away, so the visitor gets an answer before being asked to commit to anything.
Supporting that: a plain “how it works” section, a benefits grid and a preparation checklist so nobody is caught out on the day. For search, I built dedicated landing pages for every label class from A++++ down to G, because that is how homeowners search once they know their own rating.
the result.
The postcode lookup moves the moment of value to the very start: you find out what it costs before you fill anything in, which is the opposite of how most compliance services are sold. The label-class pages catch people searching their specific rating rather than the generic term, and the checklist removes most of the back-and-forth before an advisor visits.
Every project here is written the same way — the situation the business was in, what I built, and what changed once it shipped. How I run a project walks through the stages step by step.
