construction drawing service website.

Custom Laravel website for a Dutch construction-drawing service.

The full story

the problem.

BouwTekeningMaken.nl produces permit-ready construction drawings — dakkapels, extensions, new builds. It is a technical service sold to homeowners who do not know the terminology, and the enquiries arriving by phone and email were vague enough that nearly every one needed a follow-up conversation before it could be priced at all.

what I built.

This one is not a CMS. It is a custom Laravel application: service pages for each drawing type, a pricing page, a knowledge base, and a step-by-step quote tool that walks a homeowner through their project and hands the team a structured brief at the end.

Building it as an application rather than a stack of plugins keeps it fast, keeps the attack surface small, and means the quote logic behaves the way the client needs it to rather than the way a form plugin allows.

the result.

The quote tool is the difference. The team now receives complete, comparable requests instead of “how much for a dakkapel?”, so the first reply can be an answer rather than another question. The service pages absorb the queries that used to arrive by phone, and because the base is custom, new drawing types get added rather than worked around.

Every project here is written the same way — the situation the business was in, what I built, and what changed once it shipped. How I run a project walks through the stages step by step.

This project started with a short conversation, not a spec document. Tell me how your business runs today — I’ll tell you what I’d automate first. If automation isn’t the right answer, I’ll say so.
