the problem.
TipTop Vakmannen is a construction and renovation company in Amsterdam, and like most trades businesses their reputation lived in their finished work — none of which a visitor to the old site could actually see. They needed somewhere that showed the work, made sense to Dutch and expat clients alike, and turned a browsing homeowner into a quote request without requiring a phone call first.
what I built.
The site runs on WordPress, designed and built in Elementor: 20+ service pages, an about section, a blog and a separate B2B track, all kept readable rather than dense.
The piece that does the most work is the project map. I custom-coded a Google Map that plots every completed job by location, so a homeowner in Amsterdam-Noord can see what was done three streets away and click the pin to open that project.
The whole site runs properly bilingual in Dutch and English through WPML rather than a machine-translated layer, with Google and Werkspot reviews pulled in live, and quote and WhatsApp buttons within reach on every page.
the result.
Past jobs stopped being a claim and became something a visitor can check on a map before picking up the phone. The bilingual setup opened the site to Amsterdam’s expat market without the company having to run a second website, and the quote buttons mean the office receives written enquiries rather than missed calls. New services and projects drop into the same structure as the business grows.
