AI & Automation

openai, claude & chatgpt api integration for web apps.

Want to add AI features to your website or app? I'll integrate OpenAI, Claude, or any AI API to power smart features — content generation, smart search, summaries, and more.

I build Claude API and OpenAI API integrations into websites, web apps and SaaS products. The model sits behind a feature your users already understand: a search box that understands the question, a summary at the top of a long document, a draft reply your team edits instead of writing from scratch.

The API call is the easy part. The work is deciding what the model gets to see, keeping its answers grounded in your own data, handling the moments the provider is slow or wrong, and keeping the monthly bill predictable. That is what I take care of — with Anthropic’s Claude, OpenAI’s GPT models, Google Gemini or an open-source model, whichever suits the feature.

Not every feature needs AI. If a rule or an ordinary search does the job, I’ll tell you — it will be cheaper and it won’t be wrong in new and creative ways.

AI features I can build into your product:

  • AI content generation — blog posts, product descriptions, social media captions
  • Smart search — semantic search that understands meaning, not just keywords
  • Auto-summarization — turn long documents, meetings, or articles into key points
  • AI-powered recommendations — products, articles, courses based on user behavior
  • Text classification and tagging — automatically organize content or support tickets
  • Sentiment analysis — understand how customers feel from reviews and messages
  • Document Q&A — let users upload a PDF and ask questions about it
  • Translation and rewriting — instant content in multiple languages or tones
  • AI image generation — OpenAI or open-source image models built into your platform
  • Voice transcription — speech-to-text (such as OpenAI’s Whisper) for audio and meetings
  • Code generation tools — for developer-focused products

APIs and tools I work with:

  • OpenAI — the GPT models, speech-to-text, image generation and embeddings
  • Anthropic Claude — Opus, Sonnet and Haiku, chosen per feature on quality and running cost
  • Google Gemini
  • Open-source models — Llama, Mistral via Replicate or Hugging Face
  • LangChain and LlamaIndex for advanced AI pipelines
  • Pinecone, Supabase, Weaviate for vector search

What I handle for you:

  • API setup and secure authentication
  • Smart prompt engineering for the best AI responses
  • Rate limiting and cost optimization (so your bill doesn’t explode)
  • Streaming responses for that real-time ChatGPT feel
  • Error handling and fallbacks if the API fails
  • User-friendly frontend to interact with the AI
  • Backend storage of AI-generated data when needed

What you’ll get:

  • AI features that actually work in your app
  • A clean, secure API integration
  • Optimized prompts that give consistent, high-quality results
  • Cost-efficient setup so you don’t burn through API credits
  • Documentation so your team understands how it all works

Good fit if:

  • You have a SaaS or web app and want to add AI features
  • You’re building an AI-powered tool from scratch
  • You want to use AI to generate, summarize, or analyze content
  • You need smarter search than basic keyword matching
  • You want to compete with AI-powered competitors in your space

Tell me about your product and what you want the AI to do, and I’ll suggest the best way to build it.

Common questions:

A single AI feature — drafting, summarising, smart search — starts around $800 and typically takes 1–2 weeks. AI grounded in your own documents and data (a RAG pipeline with a vector database) is $2,500 and 3–5 weeks. Full ranges are on the pricing page, always as a fixed-price proposal.

Anthropic Claude, OpenAI’s GPT models, Google Gemini, and open-source models where they fit better. The right model depends on the task and the running cost — part of the job is picking it honestly rather than defaulting to the famous one.

It depends on the feature, so I test both on a sample of your real data before committing. They differ in how they handle long documents, how closely they follow careful instructions, what they cost per request and which extras (speech, images) come with them. Often the answer is both: a small, cheap model for sorting and tagging, a stronger one for writing. There’s a longer comparison in GPT vs Claude for business chatbots.

API usage is billed by the provider directly under your own API keys — nothing passes through me and there’s no markup. Usage tracking and cost controls are built into the integration so a busy month can’t surprise you.

Yes — that’s the RAG setup: your documents go into a vector database and the AI answers grounded in them, instead of improvising from general knowledge. It’s the difference between an assistant that knows your policies and one that guesses.

Three defences, all built in: answers grounded in your own content rather than the model’s imagination, prompt engineering with testing before launch, and error handling with fallbacks for when the API misbehaves. Only the data a task actually needs goes into a prompt.

That’s the normal case — I integrate AI into existing websites, web apps and SaaS products rather than rebuilding them. WordPress, Laravel and React codebases are home ground.
