Web Development
award-winning nonprofit website..
Bilingual WordPress website for an award-winning California nonprofit.
the problem.
CRR is a large, well-established nonprofit that does many things at once — it helps families find child care, runs financial assistance programs, trains and supports child care providers, operates its own WINGS Preschool, and runs a children’s discovery museum. Fitting all of that into one website is hard. The site needed to serve several very different audiences without becoming a maze, so every visitor could quickly land on the part meant for them.
what I built.
I designed and built the website on WordPress. I structured the whole site around its main audiences, with clear top-level sections for Families, Providers, WINGS Preschool, the Museum, and About.
Each section has its own organized menu of programs, resources, and forms, so a parent looking for child care and a provider managing their license never get in each other’s way.
I built a categorized FAQ to handle the many detailed questions families and providers ask, added impact stats and partner logos to build credibility, and set the site up in both English and Spanish to serve the local community. The focus throughout was making a big organization feel simple and easy to navigate.
the result.
CRR has a website that holds a lot — five major program areas — yet stays easy to use. The clear audience sections guide families, providers, preschool parents, and museum visitors straight to what they need, the categorized FAQ answers common questions before anyone has to call, and the bilingual setup keeps the site open to the whole community.
It’s a clean, well-organized home for a nonprofit that was later named the 2024 Nonprofit of the Year.
